Scion Driven Girls

Hello All!
I hope this message finds everyone in Good Spirits.

I just wanted to throw out a quick invite to our next meet Friday Oct. 30th.
We will be meeting at our Regular meet spot:
Starbuck's Parking Lot on
Firestone Blvd. @ 605 Freeway in Norwalk.
We usually meet at 8:30-8:45pm

However this meet we will be cruising over to the Newly Rebuilt Bob's Big Boy(formerly Johnie's Broiler)
in the city of Downey.(corner of Firestone and Old River School Road.

Just a little history on Johnies Broiler.
It was built in 1958 and was names Harvey's Broiler
It later changed ownership and became known as Johnie's Broiler.
In January of 2007 it was Leased to a Used Car Dealership and then Illegaly Demolished.
Since then, Grass Roots efforts led Bob's Big Boy to Purchase the Property and Rebuild the Structure to its
original Specification complete with Car Hop Service.

Its Grand Opening is Oct. 19th, 2009.

SK wants to have a little Cruise over there after our Meet on Oct. 30th and would like to invite everyone to join us.

I saw one of your members cars at the school I go to and Ive been really interested in joining a scion club for a while now, I'm really interested if i would be able to go to one your meets and introduce myself and hopefully become a member as well let me know thanks Please email me back.

how was this meet?? my friend just started working there. Any pics?

We didn't make it after all. Since its opening, it has been a Zoo!
We ended up going to the New Mr. Pete's Patio(formerly Frisco's) on Woodruff in Downey.

We still want to go, I guess we'll wait a bit for the craziness to die down a bit!

ohh ok... Frisco's is a good spot... too bad they changed it! They had the BEST orange juice!! I use to go the the monday night JDM meets and it was always a good time. Wonder if Pet's Patio can bring in the same kind of crowd that Friscos did... that place was old school lol

I miss Frisco's too but Mr. Pete's seems to be doing well. Their food is always great!
Not too mention it can accomodate large groups in the big covered patio area!
